    • Reduced the Gemini/GMOS spectra of galaxies targeted in the field (time permitting)
    • Estimated the spectroscopic redshifts and thus infer distances to the GMOS galaxies
    • Inferred the fraction of the FRB dispersion arising from the galaxies studied above

  1. Probing a galaxy group with an FRB dispersion measure

    Life and Science Conference, 2023

    This research focuses on one FRB sightline, the FRB20211203A, which is known to intersect a nearby (<20 Mpc) galaxy group and infer the nearby galaxy group’s contribution to the FRB dispersion from public photometry and distances to galaxies.

    Selected as a Millennium Fellow to engage in civic leadership program out of 52,000+ young leaders worldwide (just 5%), presented by the United Nations Academic Impact and MCN.
    Led Project Greenswipe, spreading awareness among 100+ high school students aged 14-17 to gain environmental sustainability and cleanliness over the semester.
    Engaged in 10 leadership sessions to cultivate core values of empathy, humility, inclusion in leadership and social impact.
    Honed management skills, including how to write a budget and set and meet strategic goals.
